Just installed http://people.redhat.com/arjanv/2.5/RPMS.kernel/kernel-2.6.0-0.test5.1.45.i686.rpm The 3Com NIC works fine with the 2.6 kernel. So the problem is specific to Fedora test2 kernel. I think this bug is the same as bug #100470, try the latest rawhide kernel. OK, trying the latest kernel rpms: 1. Download kernel-2.4.22-1.2082.nptl from rawhide, install it rpm -e kernel-2.6.0 rpm -Uvh kernel-2.4.22-1.2082.nptl.i686.rpm Reboot. The network is still NOT working. 2. Download kernel-2.6.0-0.test6.1.47 and install it rpm -i --nodeps kernel-2.6.0-0.test6.1.47.i686.rpm Reboot, select this kernel, the network works. So the problem is not solved. Large set of network driver updates went into 1.2094. Give that a try when it turns up in rawhide Created attachment 95270 [details]
/var/log/messages after booting -1.2096
1. Tested kernel-2.4.22-1.2096.nptl.i686.rpm. The problem is still there. The /var/log/message after booting is attatched. 2. The 2.6 kernel kernel-2.6.0-0.test7.1.59.i686.rpm works fine. |
