The ID just added by the patch was working for the last few days, but is not working anymore. It got replaced again upstream : https://hg.pidgin.im/pidgin/main/raw-rev/e1fa63d0bdaa
I locally rebuilt a patched pidgin version and I'm able to connect again.

Comment 1 Xavier Bachelot 2014-12-09 12:47:45 UTC
pidgin 2.7.9-27 in CentOS 6 is affected too.

Comment 2 Tomas Pelka 2014-12-09 12:54:53 UTC
Wasn't MSN cancelled recently?

Comment 4 Xavier Bachelot 2014-12-09 13:05:55 UTC
No, MSN still works.
Oh, and also, I mentionned CentOS above because this is what I use to test, but RHEL should be affected just the same.

Comment 5 Xavier Bachelot 2017-07-13 12:59:09 UTC
MSN is dead for good now, this bug can be closed.
