Description Marcin Juszkiewicz 2015-01-27 14:08:23 UTC
Description of problem:

3rdparty/dyncall code is too old to support aarch64 architecture.

https://github.com/MoarVM/MoarVM/issues/170 was reported for it and upstream updated dyncall to version which builds.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

0.2014.12-1

How reproducible:

always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. do a build for aarch64 (arm-koji)

Actual results:

Package fails:

dyncall_callvm.c:66:4: error: #error unsupported platform
 # error unsupported platform
    ^

http://arm.koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=258046

Expected results:

package builds

Additional info:

Upstream code is fixed so new release should just work.

Comment 1 Marcin Juszkiewicz 2015-02-04 09:21:56 UTC

Comment 2 Marcin Juszkiewicz 2015-02-23 08:26:12 UTC

Comment 3 Peter Robinson 2015-04-08 12:09:57 UTC
Gerd: can you provide an update please on the window to rebase to the latest upstream

Comment 4 Gerd Pokorra 2015-04-09 13:29:25 UTC
Peter: moarvm-2015.03 is in rawhide (f23), but nqp-2015.03 does not build for rawhide on top of moarvm-2015.03. I can not reproduce the error at f21.So I would like to stay for a period of time by rakudo-star 2014.12 for f21 and f22.

Comment 5 Gerd Pokorra 2015-05-02 09:53:19 UTC
moarvm-0.2015.04 ist in rawhide (f23). The bulds for f21 and f22 are currently running.

Comment 6 Gerd Pokorra 2015-05-03 05:38:28 UTC
nqp-0.0.2015.04 builds for f21 and f22 are done. Correspondent rakudo-star (2015.04) builds for f21 and f22 are currently still running. Could I close this ticket?

Comment 7 Marcin Juszkiewicz 2015-05-03 08:13:25 UTC
Of course you can. Thanks a lot for taking care of secondary architecture.

Please submit all the related/needs builds as updates using this bug in the bodhi update, then it will close when they go stable
