Description Jim Cornette 2004-05-25 01:55:45 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031016

Description of problem:
Whether setting a static or using dhcp, attempting to set up
installation via telnet breaks at the point a telnet connection is
made to the machine where the installation is to be done. Now that I
have speech running for the installer, I can report the error that is
displayed in Console 3.

There's no /dev/ttyp0 to receive the telnet connection.

So, installing via telnet remains broken.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to install via static or dhcp aquired IP
2. Get speech reader functioning in installer
3. Observe screen 3 output

Actual Results: screen shows error There's no /dev/ttyp0 to receive
the telnet connection.

Expected Results: Expected to be able to install Fedora Core 2 via telnet
