Miroslav, as far as I understand the current state of PTP PHC support, this package is very outdated. It was a one-off github repo Richard Cochran created around the time PHC support was added to the upstream kernel. He never intended for it to be production code. The github project has since been deleted.

I'd like to retire this package completely for Fedora, but I wanted to make sure that linuxptp was a suitable replacement. Does that match your understanding?

Comment 5 Miroslav Lichvar 2016-02-16 08:16:59 UTC
Yes, it does. If you need PTP with HW timestamping, linuxptp is the way to go.

Comment 6 Fedora Admin XMLRPC Client 2016-02-16 16:14:46 UTC
This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component.

Comment 7 Josh Boyer 2016-02-16 16:16:17 UTC
Thanks for the quick response. I've retired ptpd-phc in rawhide.
