dmesg from kernel 4.6.3

Description of problem:
The Dell XPS 13 9343 sound card is undetected in kernel-4.6.3 while it is detected and functions properly in kernel-4.5.5 and kernel 4.5.7. In 4.5.* the sound card appears as broadwell-rt286 along with an HDA Intel HDMI sound card where as in 4.6.3 only the HDA Intel HDMI sound card is detected.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-4.5.5-300.fc24.x86_64 (working)
kernel-4.5.7-300.fc24.x86_64 (working)
kernel-4.6.3-300.fc24.x86_64 (not working)

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Boot kernel-4.6.3 and go into gnome control panel's sound section or alsamixer "select sound card" and see that broadwell-rt286 does not appear nor any other functioning sound card name.

2. boot kernel-4.5.5 and/or 4.5.7 and go into both or either of the aforementioned locations and see that broadwell-rt286 does appear and is functional.

Actual results:
Undetected and thus non-functioning sound card

Expected results:
Detected and functioning sound card

Comment 2 Josh Boyer 2016-07-02 00:48:38 UTC
Should be fixed in the next build. With the rebase I accidentally dropped CONFIG_DW_DMAC_CORE=y (because it's actually a terrible hack but upstream made a poor choice requiring that for sound on these platforms).
