Description Jan Stodola 2016-09-22 13:23:14 UTC
Description of problem:
After installation on s390x using DASD disks, the rd.dasd= parameter is not appended to the kernel command line. Because of that, no DASD disks are visible during boot and booting fails.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
anaconda-25.20.1-1.fc25
python3-blivet-2.1.2-1.fc25

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run manual installation in text mode on s390x
2. use all DASD devices, continue with the default options
3. reboot when the installation is done

Actual results:
system fails to boot, DASD devices are not brought online

Expected results:
rd.dasd= on the kernel command line on installed system

Can't reproduce the issue in VNC install with fix for bug 1378338 applied on top of F-25 Beta RC (http://s390.koji.fedoraproject.org/compose/25/Fedora-25-20161007.0/).

Comment 7 Jan Stodola 2016-10-13 12:18:26 UTC
I can confirm it's not reproducible any more on compose Fedora-25-20161007.0 (F-25 Beta RC) with updates image from http://fedora.danny.cz/s390/updates-1378338.img (bug 1378338).
I'm closing the bug.
