Kernel Panoc catched
Description of problem:
Running Fedora 25 on a Raspberry Pi 3 (three) using kernel 4.9.5-200.fc25.armv7hl the server randomly crashes with a kernel panic. The previous kernel vmlinuz-4.9.3-200.fc25.armv7hl suffers the same.
Running the same installation on a Raspberry Pi 2 (two) by moving the SD card works fine.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
cat /etc/redhat-release
Fedora release 25 (Twenty Five)
How reproducible:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Fedora on a Rapsberry Pi 3
2. Run dnf update to install all available patches
3. Wait. After some time the Pi will die...
4. Move sd card to Raspberry Pi 2; Pi will not die.
Actual results:
Kernel Panic
Expected results:
No Kernel Panic
Additional info:
Seems like a kernel issue, the same Pi has been running for weeks without problem. After upgrading to kernel > vmlinuz-4.9.x problems seem to occur.
