Description Adam Williamson 2017-06-30 16:12:57 UTC
Per the criteria (I keep thinking we've changed this one, but apparently not?):

"The final branded release notes must be present on release-blocking images and the appropriately versioned generic release notes must be available in the release repository."

The current fedora-release-notes package is fedora-release-notes-25.01-2.fc26 , which obviously isn't the right one. Can we please get a final F26 release notes package build? Thanks.

Ah, actually, we proposed removing the media part of the criterion back in 2015, we just never did it:

https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/test@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/XDRUNGFVA36IP6IMBHYWFTQYZYDXKSZW/

I will go ahead and implement that, but I think this must still be a blocker, because some media still *do* include the release notes, and we don't want them to have entirely the wrong release notes.

If we were to stop shipping the release notes on any media, conceivably bugs like this could be 0Day blockers instead in future.

+1 blocker.

It looks like fedora-release-notes are in the 'standard' group, so that might be whats pulling it in...

Comment 5 Adam Williamson 2017-06-30 20:01:04 UTC
That's enough votes, accepting.

Comment 8 Adam Williamson 2017-07-03 06:08:59 UTC
Heads up: we are going to need at least one more Final compose, so if you have the material to do a less skeletal version of the release notes in the next 24 hours or so and submit a new update, it may make it into the next compose.
