Comment 1 Troy Dawson 2017-10-12 17:22:07 UTC
In a test enviroment, if I downgrade python-sphinx to the latest in fedora 26 (python-sphinx-1.5.2-4.fc26) then the checks, and the builds work correctly.

It seems there is either a problem with building on the newer sphinx or the newer sphinx packages.

Still investigating.

Comment 2 Javier Peña 2017-10-13 13:52:57 UTC
I have managed to reproduce the issue locally, using pip-installed packages. With Sphinx==1.5.2, it works fine, but it fails with Sphinx==1.6.4 with the same error as the package build.

I will keep on investigating to see how to make it work.

Comment 3 Javier Peña 2017-10-13 14:09:01 UTC
I can make it work with the latest code from git. Since there is not a newer tagged version, I'll build a post-release package.
