Comment 1 Raphael Groner 2019-04-18 10:45:19 UTC
Snippet from upstream commits log (since 0.10.7) besides some bugfixes:
Version 0.10.8.1 because I forgot python 3.7 in setup.py.
fixes #333 - support for python 3.7 and preparing for release 0.10.8
[…]
fixes #316 - Removed support for Python 2.6

That means we'd drop any python2 subpackage. Python2 support is generally EOL'ed anyways.

Comment 2 Raphael Groner 2019-04-18 11:37:52 UTC
Snippet from py4j-web/changelog.rst (besides hinted bugfixes):
- Python side: Py4J now supports Python 3.7.
- Python side: Py4J no longer supports Python 2.6. Thanks to @hugovk for the
  patch.

Successfully built in rawhide, especially to hopefully fix bug #1721931.
Maybe do builds later for the other branches.
