Description Fedora Release Engineering 2019-07-31 19:11:06 UTC
eurephia failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f31

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=36633266

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_31_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix eurephia at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
eurephia will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 32,
eurephia will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 6 Fedora Release Engineering 2019-09-22 04:25:44 UTC
Dear Maintainer,

your package has not been built successfully in 31. Action is required from you.

If you can fix your package to build, perform a build in koji, and either create
an update in bodhi, or close this bug without creating an update, if updating is
not appropriate [1]. If you are working on a fix, set the status to ASSIGNED to
acknowledge this. Following the latest policy for such packages [2], your package
can be orphaned if this bug remains in NEW state more than 8 weeks.

A week before the mass branching of Fedora 32 according to the schedule [3],
any packages which still have open FTBFS bugs from Fedora 31 will be retired.

Comment 7 Miro HronĨok 2019-09-22 11:30:13 UTC
Automation has figured out the package is retired in Fedora 31.

If you like it to be unretired, please open a ticket at https://pagure.io/releng/new_issue?template=package_unretirement

Comment 8 David Sommerseth 2019-11-09 15:56:22 UTC
The fixed build can currently not be pushed, as the package got incorrectly retired. But a working build has been pushed to F29 and F30, see bug #1674867 for details or the F30 koji build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1410762

Comment 9 Ben Cotton 2020-11-03 15:24:23 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 31 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 31 on 2020-11-24.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
Fedora 'version' of '31'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 31 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 10 David Sommerseth 2020-11-03 16:53:26 UTC
The eurephia package is available on newer Fedora releases, so closing this as WONTFIX as there is no point fixing it in F31.
