KDE is going to be in EPEL 8.
xapian-core is needed to build kf5-akonadi-search.
I already have xapian-core built in EPEL8-playground.
If you do not want to support a package in EPEL 8, then I am willing to build and maintain it there.
If you were planning on retiring the package from Fedora, then we should have a conversation with the Fedora KDE team to see if we can get it out of kf5-akonadi-search.
But, if you don't mind maintaining xapian-core in EPEL8, then I will let you have it.
