Same happens on F30 after an upgrade from F29: # dnf erase nazguhl Probleme mit modularen Abhängigkeiten: Problem 1: conflicting requests - nothing provides module(platform:f31) needed by module gimp:2.10:3120191106095052:f636be4b-0.x86_64 Problem 2: conflicting requests - nothing provides module(platform:f31) needed by module meson:latest:3120191009081836:dc56099c-0.x86_64 Problem 3: conflicting requests - nothing provides module(platform:f31) needed by module ninja:latest:3120190304180949:f636be4b-0.x86_64 Kein Treffer für Argument: nazguhl Keine Pakete zum Entfernen markiert. Abhängigkeiten sind aufgelöst. Nichts zu tun. Fertig. Sidenot: And I never instructed the systemupgrade to add modularity to my installation, it just did. BTW: I never ordered it to install gimp at all, I use Krita. Means: something went completly wrong on the upgrade process. And the problems go on and on... I removed gimp from the system, but i still get the error message, about the F31 module for gimp. Question is, are those files mandatory now or can they be removed? thanks i found /etc/dnf/modules.d/gimp.module with the date of may 5 contents are [gimp] name=gimp stream=2.10 profiles= state=enabled removing it removed the error. gimp-2.10.14-3.fc31 has been pushed to the Fedora 31 testing repository. Unfortunately, no upgrade can solve this issue. You'd have to remove modular gimp, disable modular repository and install gimp from f31/f32 RPM repo. This is "broken by modularity design" ... Hi, I had similar issue with gimp while upgrading from f31 to f32 and I confirm setting it to disable in /etc/dnf/modules.d/gimp.module works. Could you please add this workaround to F32 common bugs page (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Common_F32_bugs)? I have seen other people asked this elsewhere and hope it would save people a little time. Thanks! It is that time. Unfortunately, - nothing provides module(platform:f30) needed by module gimp:2.10:3020190614215426:a5b0195c-0.x86_64 It rebooted, and OS upgrade was there for a minute or so but then it rebooted a second time and I was still at F31. I had to: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1767422 # dnf remove gimp # vi /etc/dnf/modules.d/gimp.module state=disabled Then it worked.
