I remember I've reduced that dependency a bit already. Not sure if it's Fedora 30 or Fedora 31. The reason why lxqt-themes-fedora is written as a dependency to lxqt-session is to make it the default theme. De-coupling the kde stuff from LXQt themes while keeping the old appearance is not an easy task for me. I'll possibly look into this in January (due to being too busy recently). Yesterday I rebuild lxqt-session removing lxqt-themes-fedora from required (koji). Works ok. Yes, technically it works. But I remember the theme (logo on the application menu etc) is not the current Fedora specific theme as that is defined in lxqt-themes-fedora. Created attachment 1637262 [details]

This message is a reminder that Fedora 30 is nearing its end of life. Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 30 on 2020-05-26. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '30'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 30 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. After some careful consideration, I think I will not drop lxqt-themes-fedora as dependency of lxqt-session. Judging from comment 4, I think the overall aim you want to achieve is to reduce the unessential KDE packages. And I agree that makes a lot of sense. I'm changing the component to lxqt-themes and will focuse on getting rid of the unessential KDE stuff. Right now the status is, the lxqt-themes-fedora can only depends on the following $ sudo dnf install lxqt-themes-fedora Last metadata expiration check: 0:09:49 ago on Mon 25 May 2020 09:18:51 PM +08. As lxqt-archiver is now released, I'll replace ark with lxqt-archiver so that the kf5 stuff will be mostly get rid of.
