Description Arnold Boothroyd 2020-01-01 02:38:16 UTC
Description of problem:
Killing a window occasionally causes an error notification and positions of most other windows to jump by a few dozen pixels.

Running Fedora 31 with MATE-Compiz spin: Killing a window occasionally causes the problem; I have seen this happen this time when killing a file view window (marco, I believe) and when killing a gimp window.

This results in an error notification as the window is killed, and the positions of most of the other windows jump by as much as several dozen pixels.

Note that when I had several gimp image windows open and killing one of them triggered this error, gimp itself was not killed: the other gimp windows merely jumped in position, like the other windows I had open.

This problem has occurred occasionally on two different computers after I upgraded them from Fedora 29 to 31 a week or two before Fedora 29 support ended (MATE-Compiz spin in both cases).
