Description Thorsten Leemhuis 2020-03-26 05:37:17 UTC
In your review request of rss2email you mentioned that it builds for rhel8, but you didn't build it for epel8. Was that intentional? Would you maybe be willing to maintain the package for epel8?

Comment 1 Matěj Cepl 2020-03-26 09:12:15 UTC
I am trying as hard as I am able to get rid of this package.

Comment 2 David Kaufmann 2020-03-26 14:29:49 UTC
Mostly I've been waiting for someone to request it, but yes, I'll do that, if there is demand for the package.

Unfortunately I don't remember how I've built it for epel8 - if I remember it correctly copr had support for it at the time, but named it rhel8 instead. I think I also created the python3-feedparser package in copr then, but I deleted that repo about half a year ago, so I'm not exactly sure what I did to make it run.
Currently there is no python3-feedparser in epel8, so I've asked for it in bug 1817531.

Matěj, sorry, I've found an override in the fedora-scm-requests repo for Fedora EPEL, I've deleted it and the pull request is already merged - so the default contact in Bugzilla should be updated soon hopefully.

All the best,

Consider by request dropped: there were multiple other packages I use regularly that were missing in EPEL, so I dropped the plan to use centos8 and went with fedora instead :-/ Sorry for the trouble :-/
