It will require a lot of hard and tedious upstream work to fix strace tests on 32-bit architectures running glibc-2.32, I suppose it will take about 2 months. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 33 development cycle. Changing version to 33. Thank you for fixing the strace build for f33. Unfortunately, the new release of the package is still FTBFS for rawhide/f34 and Fedora ELN. Are the f34 and ELN failures still being worked on with this BZ, or should a new BZ be created? Note: The f34 build fails due to self-test failures only for i686 and armv7hl, with an identical set of failures for both of those arches. ELN fails only for i686 (it does not build for armv7hl) with identical failures as well--so the fix for f34 will likely take care of ELN as well. (In reply to Merlin Mathesius from comment #6) > Thank you for fixing the strace build for f33. It's actually disablement of IPC tests that fail due to glibc regressions[1][2]. Hope those will be fixed at some point and the tests can be re-enabled again. > Unfortunately, the new release of the package is still FTBFS for rawhide/f34 > and Fedora ELN. ELN > fails only for i686 (it does not build for armv7hl) with identical failures > as well--so the fix for f34 will likely take care of ELN as well. F34 failures are separate issue (in addition to IPC tests), seems to be some further (possibly time64-related) changes in glibc that break pselect6/semtimedop tests; feel free to create a separate bug for that.
