Description Igor Raits 2020-09-08 06:36:47 UTC
Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (ignatenkobrain).

Your package (hplip) Fails To Install in Fedora 33:

can't install libsane-hpaio:
  - nothing provides libnetsnmp.so.35()(64bit) needed by libsane-hpaio-3.20.6-9.fc33.x86_64

can't install hplip-libs:
  - nothing provides libnetsnmp.so.35()(64bit) needed by hplip-libs-3.20.6-9.fc33.x86_64

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks.

P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors.

P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/rawhide-gating/multi-builds/

Thanks!

Hi Igor,

thanks for reporting the issue!

According Pepa net-snmp has a permanent override tag (we don't know why), so it seems an unknown package got rebuild with the new net-snmp and brought it in stable when other dependent package weren't rebuilt.

However, there is an bodhi update https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-14475baf86 which contains rebuilt hplip with new net-snmp. It will be in stable in a day or two.

Comment 2 Zdenek Dohnal 2020-09-08 07:04:28 UTC
I cannot add this bug to the update, because I don't have a permissions.

If you are able to add the bug, please add it. Or I just close the bug as NEXTRELEASE when the update will get into stable.

Hi Mirku,

would you mind adding this bug to the update https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-14475baf86 before it lands into stable?
