[patch] Update to 6.1.0 (#1902311)
Latest upstream release: 6.2.0 Current version/release in rawhide: 5.2.0-11.fc34 URL: http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/ Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/ More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream. [patch] Update to 6.2.0 (#1902311)
the-new-hotness/release-monitoring.org's scratch build of octave-6.2.0-1.fc32.src.rpm for rawhide failed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=62362991 Are you have plan to upgrade octave? I have been holding out hope that swig will support octave 6.2 at some point, otherwise we will need to drop a couple packages. Fedora 34 Beta suffers from this annoying bug in octave-gui: https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=59483 The bug is closed upstream, updating Octave would solve the issue. But as we are very late in the Fedora 34 development cycle, I assume there will be no new Octave in Fedora 34? @orion, considering that, should I file a separate bug about patching said bug? There will not be an update to octave in 34. Please file a separate bug and hopefully we can backport the fix without much trouble. (In reply to Orion Poplawski from comment #8) > There will not be an update to octave in 34. Please file a separate bug and > hopefully we can backport the fix without much trouble. Filed bug 1946773. Latest upstream release: 6.3.0 Current version/release in rawhide: 5.2.0-12.fc35 URL: http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/ Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/ More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made.
