Upstream Release Monitoring
2021-02-09 22:19:17 UTC
An unexpected error occurred while creating the scratch build and has been automatically reported. Sorry! FEDORA-2021-e6aad2194c has been pushed to the Fedora 35 stable repository. If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report. Latest upstream release: 3.4.5 Current version/release in rawhide: 3.4.4-3.fc35 URL: http://cryptography.io/ Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/ More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream. Based on the information from anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/5532/ Created attachment 1756867 [details]
[patch] Update to 3.4.5 (#1927044)
the-new-hotness/release-monitoring.org's scratch build of python-cryptography-3.4.5-1.fc32.src.rpm for rawhide failed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=61889260 FEDORA-2021-6f1385f738 has been pushed to the Fedora 35 stable repository. If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report. Latest upstream release: 3.4.6 Current version/release in rawhide: 3.4.5-1.fc35 URL: http://cryptography.io/ Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/ More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Based on the information from anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/5532/ An unexpected error occurred while creating the scratch build and has been automatically reported. Sorry! I'm skipping release 3.4.6. It only updates binary wheels to OpenSSL 1.1.1j and contains no additional changes. FEDORA-2021-08b9c4e2b9 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 34. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-08b9c4e2b9 Not shipping updates of broadly used packages doesn't play nice with the dependency generator as their are dependencies which have version constrains. Updating python-cryptography is not trivial, because the process involves two packages and sidetag builds. I usually skip binary-only updates because they contain no code change and are irrelevant for Linux distros. FEDORA-2021-8d5f2b4424 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 34. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-8d5f2b4424 FEDORA-2021-34124e8167 has been pushed to the Fedora 35 stable repository. If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report. Something went wrong with F34 update FEDORA-2021-08b9c4e2b9. Looks like it took too long to push the update and some tags went missing during branching. I have created Rawhide and F34 updates to 3.4.6. Please do not rely on the fact that the latest release of cryptography will be available. I'm still going to skip binary updates by default or cherry-pick security fixes to older versions. FEDORA-2021-8d5f2b4424 has been pushed to the Fedora 34 testing repository. Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --advisory=FEDORA-2021-8d5f2b4424` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-8d5f2b4424 See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates.
