Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (mhroncok).

Your package (lmms) Fails To Install in Fedora 35:

can't install lmms:
  - nothing provides libcarlabase.so()(64bit) needed by lmms-1.2.2-1.fc35.x86_64

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks.

P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors.

P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/#updating-inter-dependent-packages

Thanks!

This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Hi, one detail to note is that the LMMS packaged in Fedora is old. Fedora has v1.1.3 but upstream has released v1.2.2:

https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/releases/tag/v1.2.2

I am interested to being a co-packager for this package. It would take me some time to pick up C++ packaging, but I have packaged a little bit of C so hopefully I could rely on some of the RPM macros I am used to.

Comment 3 Justin W. Flory (Fedora) 2021-05-10 13:46:09 UTC
I see v1.2.2 was pushed to src.fp.o already. Clearing the needinfo flag, but still happy to help with this package if you would like another pair of helping hands.

Still in the process of updating the package.

Thanks for offering to co-maintain - what is your fas username?
