This message is a reminder that Fedora 33 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 33 on 2021-11-30.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
Fedora 'version' of '33'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 33 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 4 Stefano Biagiotti 2021-11-05 15:19:57 UTC
Fedora 34 still stuck on v1.1.24.

Name : epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2
Version : 1.1.24
Release : 2.1lsb3.2.fc34
Architecture : noarch
Size : 1.9 M
Source : epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2-1.1.24-2.1lsb3.2.fc34.src.rpm
Repository : fedora
Summary : Drivers for Epson inkjet printers
URL : http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/search/01/search/?OSC=LX
License : GPLv2+
Description : This package contains PPD files for newer Epson Inkjet printers which
: are not available in the fully open source epson-inkjet-printer-escpr
             : driver.
             :
: The escpr2 driver relies on a binary blob in the source package, which
: has been removed in Fedora. The PPD files have been patched to use the
: open source escpr driver, instead.
             :
: Although many of the PPD files work with the older, fully open source
: driver (e.g. ET-3700 seems to work), it is quite likely that some
: don't. This is not a bug in the Fedora package, but a limitation of
: the partly closed-source upstream drivers.

Latest version available is 1.1.43.
