This is already fixed in the final v2.37 release, already in rawhide as util-linux-2.37-1. Update! :-) |
Since 2.37, util-linux fails to build with Python 3.10.0b1: checking whether python3 version is >= 3... yes checking for python3 version... 3.1 checking for python3 platform... linux checking for python3 script directory... ${prefix}/lib/python3.10/site-packages checking for python3 extension module directory... ${exec_prefix}/lib64/python3.10/site-packages checking for PYTHON... no configure: WARNING: libpython not found; not building pylibmount ... RPM build errors: Directory not found: /builddir/build/BUILDROOT/util-linux-2.37-0.1.fc35.x86_64/usr/lib64/python3.10/site-packages/libmount This is caused by the following code in aclocal.m4/configure: am_cv_python_version=`$PYTHON -c "import sys; sys.stdout.write(sys.version[:3])"` This reports 3.1 on python 3.10. Use '{}.{}'.format(*sys.version_info) or similar instead.
