Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream.

Comment 1 Upstream Release Monitoring 2021-06-24 06:03:58 UTC
An HTTP error occurred downloading the package's new Source URLs: Getting https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/commit/821605f0425060e989a7e00fb95d09b768ce41c7.patch to ./821605f0425060e989a7e00fb95d09b768ce41c7.patch

Actually version 3.6.0 was released on 3rd July 2021

Tarball and signature are here:

https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/releases/download/release-3.6.0/darktable-3.6.0.tar.xz

https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/releases/download/release-3.6.0/darktable-3.6.0.tar.xz.asc

Attempts to build this fail with a missing darktable.appdata.xml file

There is a darktable.appdata.xml.in file which requires a trivial patch for the latest release date and version.

Comment 3 Brian Morrison 2021-07-04 12:59:38 UTC
Would be appreciated if this could be updated in Fedora 34, darktable has moved to a 6 monthly release pattern which makes it fit in quite well with Fedora releases.
