Description Adam Williamson 2021-09-15 20:55:57 UTC
We have GNOME Shell (plus mutter and extensions) 41 rc1 queued for stable currently. As we've just slipped, and there is an update dependency issue that affects the fix for an accepted blocker - see https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-d0b0be7c4e#comment-2208632 - and the original rc1 update tested out fine and has positive feedback, it seems reasonable to me to pull that version in for Beta through the freeze.

The benefits would be ensuring we have the latest fixes from upstream, and avoiding having to do awkward backflips in git to get the fix for #1996998 in.

note, per discussion in the ticket, we are considering this FE as allowing all of GNOME 41 rc1 into stable, hence the multiple updates.
