Your package (cekit) Fails To Install in Fedora 35:

can't install cekit:
  - nothing provides (python3.10dist(pykwalify) < 1.8 with python3.10dist(pykwalify) >= 1.6) needed by cekit-3.12.0-1.fc35.noarch
If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (, your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks.

P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors.

P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags:

Comment 1 Don Naro 2022-02-28 09:59:53 UTC
Hi @marek.goldmann

Is there any workaround other than removing cekit?

$ cat /etc/os-release
NAME="Fedora Linux"
VERSION="35 (Workstation Edition)"

$ sudo dnf update

 Problem: package cekit-3.12.0-1.fc35.noarch requires (python3.10dist(pykwalify) < 1.8 with python3.10dist(pykwalify) >= 1.6), but none of the providers can be installed
  - cannot install both python3-pykwalify-1.8.0-1.fc35.noarch and python3-pykwalify-1.7.0-12.fc35.noarch
  - cannot install the best update candidate for package python3-pykwalify-1.7.0-12.fc35.noarch
  - cannot install the best update candidate for package cekit-3.12.0-1.fc35.noarch

Comment 2 Marek Goldmann 2022-02-28 13:25:13 UTC
We are currently working on a fix. This, unfortunately involves some major changes (dropping Python 2 support). We hope to have it soon available. For the time being we suggest to install CEKit in a virtual environment as described here:
