This package built on koji: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=94421674 This is a re-review since the package was retired: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-cattrs Blocking fedora-neuro since some of our COPR packages need this. Updated spec/srpm: Spec URL: https://ankursinha.fedorapeople.org/python-cattrs/python-cattrs.spec SRPM URL: https://ankursinha.fedorapeople.org/python-cattrs/python-cattrs-22.2.0-2.fc38.src.rpm - License file seems to be missing Package Review ============== Legend: [x] = Pass, [!] = Fail, [-] = Not applicable, [?] = Not evaluated Issues: ======= - If (and only if) the source package includes the text of the license(s) in its own file, then that file, containing the text of the license(s) for the package is included in %license. Hrm, weirdly enough it's included but not marked as a %license by the pyproject macros from the looks of it: rpm -ql -p ./results_python-cattrs/22.2.0/2.fc38/python3-cattrs-22.2.0-2.fc38.noarch.rpm | grep LIC /usr/lib/python3.11/site-packages/cattrs-22.2.0.dist-info/LICENSE I've added it explicitly now along with the readme: $ rpm -ql --licensefiles -p ./results_python-cattrs/22.2.0/3.fc38/python3-cattrs-22.2.0-3.fc38.noarch.rpm /usr/share/licenses/python3-cattrs/LICENSE Updated spec/srpm: Spec URL: https://ankursinha.fedorapeople.org/python-cattrs/python-cattrs.spec SRPM URL: https://ankursinha.fedorapeople.org/python-cattrs/python-cattrs-22.2.0-3.fc38.src.rpm Thanks, Ankur Thanks for the changes. There's one thing I find a little bit strange. The subpackage is defined using %{python3_pkgversion}, but everywhere else it's just "python3-cattrs". I'm not sure if that's correct. Please verify this before import. Package approved! Thanks for that. It was leftover from the original package spec. The macro does expand to 3 at the moment, but I've removed it for consistency: $ rpm -E %python3_pkgversion 3 https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/ankursinha/rpms/python-cattrs/c/0f1c566406cd6da279b11f119574604f22373cd2?branch=master%2Frereview I'll go ask releng to unretire the package now. Why is this needed? BuildRequires: python3-setuptools The packatge has: build-backend = "poetry.core.masonry.api" So if setuptools is needed, it is likely for tests? But the tests don't run. For the same reason, BuildRequiring pytest and pytest-benchmark is probably overkill. Good catch. Removed them all, and it still builds: https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/ankursinha/rpms/python-cattrs/c/f84625a0185f0e37d360ba84f2a2cefac81a2bd7?branch=master%2Frereview I'm pretty sure this applies to hypothesis as well and possibly all the manually listed build dependencies other than python3-devel. Yeh, neither hypothesis nor immutables are imported. Removed too: https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/ankursinha/rpms/python-cattrs/c/4a0244d5c728bda0bd5ed9b2e39d9d7349151402?branch=master%2Frereview Sorry, should've looked better. Thanks for catching it! |
