An X server segfault is automatically X's fault. Thanks for the bug report. We have reviewed the information you have provided above, and there is some additional information we require that will be helpful in our diagnosis of this issue. Please attach your X server config file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf, if available), /var/log/dmesg, and X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.*.log) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the bugzilla file attachment link below. We will review this issue again once you've had a chance to attach this information. Thanks in advance. Created attachment 356752 [details]

Could you still reproduce the bug even after relabelling your disk? dtardon->mcepl: No, it's OK now. dtardon->mcepl: Taking back comment 6: it still crashes when run without xorg.conf. However, it doesn't crash with the following xorg.conf. Created attachment 356847 [details]

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 515074 *** *** Bug 516161 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Reopening. The bug this one was made duplicate of is, according to comments, fixed in xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.99-28, but X still crashes on my machine with xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.6.99-41.20090825.fc12. Rawhide now features gnome-session-2.28.0-1.fc12 and xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.0-1.fc12. Is this still present? Installing X's debugging symbols and running a gdb session would be helpful. it works now with xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.0-1.fc12 and gnome-session-2.28.0-1.fc12 It should be closed then, right? yes, it can be closed |
