eel-2 requires "gnome_bg_changes_with_size" function from the gnome-desktop package, but the latest gnome-desktop in rawhide no more provides it. Some packages which use eel2 cannot be build for this reason (ie. gnome-translate). Time to let eel2 finally die. gnome-bg in gnome-desktop changes rapidly, even if we fix eel2 now, it will break again in near future. Nothing should really use eel2 now. According to repoquery, gnome-translate is the only user. And looking into its sources, it heavily depends on eel2. Dmitry, looking at Ubuntu lucid (devel) gnome-translate package, there's a nice patch removing dependency on eel2 completely: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/g/gnome-translate/gnome-translate_0.99-0ubuntu5.diff.gz http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/gnome-translate Do you think you can backport some of the patches into Fedora?
