Description of problem:
The kernel argument "nomodeset" makes X use the Vesa driver for a Nvidia chip that otherwise works with Nouveau.

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
Boot with default kernel arguments plus "nomodeset".

Actual results:
The resolution is 1280×1024, and if I read the log right X uses the Vesa driver.

Expected results:
If Nouveau is intended to work with "nomodeset", then the resolution should be 1920×1200 and the driver should be Nouveau.

This is not a bug, you're seeing the correct behaviour.  Nouveau no longer supports userspace modesetting as of F13 (and upstream).
