Description ben 2010-04-21 03:33:04 UTC
Description of problem:
After updating from nagios-plugins-http-1.4.13 to nagios-plugins-http-1.4.14 tonight, several SSL sites began timing out. These sites had not changed and they showed up fine in the browser, but Nagios insisted they were Critical. Further investigation determined that it was only self-signed certs, Certs issued by an Authority passed the test with no issues.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
nagios-plugins-http-1.4.14-1.el5.i386

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use the "check_http -S -H (hostname) -I (IP)" Nagios command on a site secured with a self-signed cert.

Actual results:
The check will timeout after 10 seconds (Or however many were specified in the check).

Expected results:
The check should succeed if it can establish an SSL connection.

Additional info:
After doing some googling, it appears omitting the "-H (hostname)" or adding -N will work around the issue.
