There is a new version that corrects the problem, at least for me. I have created a package and tested it, at least on F20.

I have also created a git diff against master. If you like I can request SCM access to atop.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 22 development cycle.
Changing version to '22'.

On Fedora 21 the error disappears when you do "export LANG=C" before starting atop. When LANG is set to anything else or when it is unset the program crashes with "floating point exeption" message.

Sorry, actually it still crashes independently of LANG setting, but not every time, that's why thought that it helped.

Ok, please test once these make it into updates-testing. I don't plan on pushing these to stable until they get some positive karma.

Also, I do not plan to update el6 since the spec, prior to me updating it, does not install SysV init scripts.

Package atop-2.1-1.el7:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora EPEL 7 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=epel-testing atop-2.1-1.el7'
as soon as you are able to.
