Description Frank Ansari 2016-01-03 16:42:29 UTC
Description of problem:
When I want to login with gdm as Wayland session I can only do this when I was not logged in before. Otherwise - after typing my password - instead of the desktop I am again prompted to the gdm.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gdm 3.18.2

How reproducible:
Logout from either standard GNOME or GNOME Wayland session and login with GNOME Wayland.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:
After entering password gdm comes again.

Expected results:
Desktop should start.

Additional info:
Workaround: Enter console Ctrl-Alt-F2, login and then
sudo systemctl isolate multi-user.target
sudo systemctl isolate graphical.target
After this you can login again.

I'm quite sure this is a dupe of bug 1263208, it's not Wayland related.
