Comment 1 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2017-05-17 12:55:36 UTC
Proposed as a Blocker and Freeze Exception for 26-beta by Fedora user sgallagh using the blocker tracking app because:

I'm requesting this as at least an FE because it's definitely a polish problem; the software choices can be selected by clicking on the text, but not when clicking on the checkbox.

It might be a weak violation of the Beta blocker criterion "When installing with the generic network install image, interactively selecting a package set other than the default must work."

Comment 2 Mike Ruckman 2017-05-17 13:00:05 UTC
I ran into this as well and was going to file. The work around for me was to click on the name of the item and not the checkbox itself. For sure would +1 an FE provided the fix just touches the UI bits.

Comment 3 Stephen Gallagher 2017-05-17 13:09:36 UTC
To clarify my position above: I'm +1 FE for Beta, but I'd come down as +1 Blocker at Final, simply because this is a highly-visible lack of polish during our users' first impressions of Fedora.

Comment 4 Vendula Poncova 2017-05-17 14:02:35 UTC
Fixed in a pull request: https://github.com/rhinstaller/anaconda/pull/1054

Comment 5 Adam Williamson 2017-05-17 15:42:05 UTC
+1 FE Beta, +1 Blocker final. I think the workaround would be OK for Beta, silly as it is, but fixing it would be nice.

We have +3 for Beta FE now, so setting accepted for that.

Playing with lorax and rpmbuild I managed to build a boot.img containing the fixed file reported in the PR.
I can confirm that now the checkboxes work as expected.
Thanks.

Discussed at 2017-05-22 blocker review meeting: [1].

This bug was rejected as Beta blocker and accepted as Final blocker and Freeze exception for beta: We'd like to get this fixed for Beta, but are not willing to block Beta on polish (since it does *work*), but we would block for Final release.
