Description Rob Foehl 2017-08-30 18:02:59 UTC
Description of problem:

The Alpine 2.21 packages in all current Fedora releases updated the upstream URLs, but used the unpatched source bundle instead of the patched version that includes features like Maildir, fancy threading, etc.

The spec file should be using the following URL:

Source0: http://alpine.freeiz.com/alpine/patches/alpine-%{version}/alpine-%{version}.tar.xz

I would also suggest including a note nearby as a reminder for future updates, as this same thing happened when 2.20 was released (bug 1270331).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

alpine-2.21-3.fc25.x86_64

Additional info:

Updating the source URL and rebuilding should also resolve bug 1486453.

Comment 1 Rob Foehl 2017-09-25 14:00:39 UTC
Updating version, as this applies to both F26 and F27 as well.

Comment 2 Rob Foehl 2017-11-15 16:24:45 UTC
It's been nearly five months since the change that broke this package, and still no rebuild. What's going on here?

Comment 3 Rex Dieter 2017-11-15 20:35:46 UTC
Thanks for the reminder...

I can fix Source0 and get builds out today
