Description Brian Lane 2017-09-15 18:46:05 UTC
Patch 3a9808c49de8f8 removed the grub2-tools* from the x86 boot.iso, but they are useful during install and rescue so they should be included.

Comment 1 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2017-09-15 18:49:58 UTC
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 27-beta by Fedora user bcl using the blocker tracking app because:

The grub2-tools are useful during installation and rescue, and are present on ppc64, but not x86.

Comment 2 Adam Williamson 2017-09-16 00:57:00 UTC
Are they *really* useful during install and rescue? If you're going to run them, wouldn't you do it out of a chroot into the installed system anyhow? I think this is why pjones figured to remove them...

Yes, there are actual people using them. eg. bug #1489707

Discussed at blocker review meeting [1]:

AcceptedFreezeException - This is small change which could help some people and shouldn't affect installation.
