Description David Shea 2017-09-28 14:16:33 UTC
Description of problem:
ghc-comonad in F26 is currently built against ghc-distributive-0.5.2-1.fc26, which is not the latest version. ghc-distributive was rebuilt due an update to ghc-base-orphans. Building anything that requires comonad and either distributive or base-orphans (e.g., bifunctors which requires comonad + base-orphans) will fail since the latest versions of these packages cannot be installed.

Error:
Problem: package ghc-distributive-devel-0.5.2-1.fc26.x86_64 requires ghc-devel(base-orphans-0.5.4-ABoxiBf7nXc7Qqh66CgYc9), but none of the providers can be installed
  - cannot install both ghc-base-orphans-devel-0.6-1.fc26.x86_64 and ghc-base-orphans-devel-0.5.4-1.fc26.x86_64
  - package ghc-comonad-devel-5.0.2-1.fc26.x86_64 requires ghc-devel(distributive-0.5.2-JCgfTXNR3ywAyV7fFWIBI5), but none of the providers can be installed
  - cannot install the best candidate for the job
  - conflicting requests
(try to add '--allowerasing' to command line to replace conflicting packages or '--skip-broken' to skip uninstalable packages)
ERROR: Exception(ghc-bifunctors-5.4.2-2.fc26.src.rpm) Config(fedora-26-x86_64) 1 minutes 59 seconds
