Description Fedora Release Engineering 2018-05-27 18:07:03 UTC
libxfce4util failed to build from source in Fedora 28

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=27206354

For details on the mass rebuild see:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_28_Mass_Rebuild

Please fix libxfce4util at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
libxfce4util will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 29,
libxfce4util will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 4 Mukundan Ragavan 2018-05-27 22:19:34 UTC
The easiest way to fix this would be to remove --enable-gtk-doc during building.

Kevin, should we inform upstream and remove --enable-gtk-doc for the time being?

Comment 5 Mukundan Ragavan 2018-05-27 22:21:17 UTC
By the way, this is already done in 4.13.

Comment 6 Mukundan Ragavan 2018-05-27 22:23:47 UTC
In 4.13.x, we are using gtkdoc-mkdb

"gtkdoc-mkdb --module=libxfce4util --output-format=xml --expand-content-files="" --main-sgml-file=libxfce4util-docs.sgml ${_source_dir} --sgml-mode --output-format=xml
gtkdoc-mkdb --module=libxfce4util --output-format=xml --expand-content-files="" --main-sgml-file=libxfce4util-docs.sgml ${_source_dir} --sgml-mode --output-format=xml"

Comment 7 Mukundan Ragavan 2018-05-27 22:24:50 UTC
Kevin, any objections if I remove --enable-gtk-doc?

Comment 8 Kevin Fenzi 2018-05-27 22:42:53 UTC
go ahead. I tried some calls to gtkdocize to fix this, but it needs more than that, so sure,

Comment 9 Mukundan Ragavan 2018-05-28 02:46:11 UTC
Fixed in rawhide. For F28, we can push the changes for F28 with the next update.
