Description Fedora Release Engineering 2018-05-28 21:51:09 UTC
gitstats failed to build from source in Fedora 28

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=27236211
Note: No build was found, usually this means that Koji failed to create the source RPM. Maybe a required patch or updated sources file is not committed to git.

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_28_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix gitstats at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
gitstats will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 29,
gitstats will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Dear Maintainer,

your package has not been built successfully in F28. Action is required from you.

If you can fix your package to build, perform a build in koji, and either create
an update in bodhi, or close this bug without creating an update, if updating is
not appropriate [1]. If you are working on a fix, set the status to ASSIGNED to acknowledge this. Following the latest policy for such packages [2], your package will be orphaned if this bug remains in NEW state more than 8 weeks.

Comment 6 Stephen Gordon 2018-11-07 23:58:02 UTC
Fixed the boned sources list (not sure what happened there) but this uncovers a new issue:

*** ERROR: ambiguous python shebang in /usr/bin/gitstats: #!/usr/bin/env python. Change it to python3 (or python2) explicitly.

Given nothing significant has changed in gitstats in some time I suspect the answer needs to be python2 but would like to test further.

Comment 7 Stephen Gordon 2018-11-08 00:00:22 UTC
Sure enough latest upstream has python2 set already, time for a rebase.
