Description Robert Marcano 2018-11-04 16:53:14 UTC
Description of problem:

eclipse-remote is pulling java-openjdk-headless 1:10.0.2.13-7.fc29 as requirement. It should work with Java 8 or at least pull the long term release Java 11 that is already on Fedora 29

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

eclipse-remote-3.0.0-0.5.git14c6611.fc29.noarch.rpm

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf install eclipse-remote (without OpenJDK 10 installed)

Actual results:

===========================================================
 Package                  Arch    Version
===========================================================
Installing:
 eclipse-remote           noarch  3.0.0-0.5.git14c6611.fc29
Installing dependencies:
 java-openjdk-headless    x86_64  1:10.0.2.13-7.fc29
===========================================================

Expected results:

java-openjdk-headless 10 should not be a requirement because it works with Java 8 or should against 11

Additional info:

Force installing eclipse-remote directly with rpm --nodeps works perfectly, on a Eclipse running on a a Java 8 runtime
