Description Artem 2019-07-01 03:17:21 UTC
Description of problem:
No updates for very long time of 'springlobby' package. Its not even possible to install it.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
  0.195

There is PR opened for a month:
  https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/springlobby/pull-request/2

If there is no maintainer i wish to take this orphaned package.

thanks Artem, I merged and it's building for rawhide.

Comment 2 Artem 2019-07-03 20:50:25 UTC
@Filipe Rosset, thank you. Some users ask it for F30, maybe if you have time for this. Or i can build it for F30 branch and push to Bodhi if you wish.

Comment 5 Gilboa Davara 2019-07-04 08:54:29 UTC
Hello,

I'm the current maintainer of spring and springlobby.
Sadly enough I was / am under considerable time constraints and I was unable to give both the time it needed.
(Plus, at least in the case of new versions of spring itself, there's a major library and header collision that prevent it from building on new versions of Fedora; and latest springlobby didn't really work cleanly with old versions of spring).

That said, I plan to free some time in the next couple of weeks to try and solve this problem.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

- Gilboa

@Gilboa Davara, welcome back! Yep, i tried to build latest 'spring' itself and failed, but now at least possible to install latest 'springlobby' where people can download pre-built version. Now 'springlobby' available for Fedora rawhide and F30 on QA. Cant help to much with 'spring' package for now.
