Description James Begley 2019-11-04 18:10:56 UTC
Description of problem:
Conky no longer draws clock rings

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
conky-1.11.5-1.fc31

How reproducible:
Everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Attempt to run conky with the lua rings enabled
2.
3.

Actual results:
No rings are drawn

Expected results:
Rings are drawn

Additional info:
conky-1.11.5-1 states that "- disable cairo and imlib modules to build without tolua++". Disabling the cairo and lua bindings means that the clock rings will not be drawn (downgrading to 1.11.4 brings these bindings back and the clock rings reappear). No reason appears to be given as to why it was necessary to disable the cairo and lua bindings, but would it be possible to bring them back (or add a sub-package containing them)?

Comment 1 Miroslav Lichvar 2019-11-05 07:39:32 UTC
The reason is that tolua++ is no longer maintained in Fedora. The conky package didn't build unless the cairo/imlib modules were disabled.
