All,
conserver-client package too, please.

Best,
-pbunyan

Comment 2 PaulB 2019-11-08 13:34:22 UTC
All,
This package is needed for internal testing and debugging.

Best,
-pbunyan

Comment 3 Jeff Bastian 2019-11-08 15:15:03 UTC
In the meantime, I've built some RHEL8 packages in COPR. Run this to install conserver and/or conserver-client:

dnf copr enable jbastian/rhel8-conserver
dnf install conserver-client

All,
The workaround from jbastian worked for me... thank you jeff :)

I have RHEL8 installed and would like to test this fix provided in
conserver-8.2.2-4.el8. What repo do I need in order to
install this?

Best,
-pbunyan

Comment 8 Jiri Hladky 2019-11-14 15:24:37 UTC
Hi Paul,

you need epel-testing repo:

yum --enablerepo="epel-testing" install conserver

Here is the repo file:

# cat /etc/yum.repos.d/epel-testing.repo
[epel-testing]
name=Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux $releasever - Testing - $basearch
#baseurl=https://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/testing/$releasever/Everything/$basearch
metalink=https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=testing-epel$releasever&arch=$basearch&infra=$infra&content=$contentdir
failovermethod=priority
enabled=0
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-EPEL-8

Thanks
Jirka

[pbunyan@pbunyan ~]$ cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.0 (Ootpa)
[pbunyan@pbunyan ~]$ uname -r
4.18.0-80.11.2.el8_0.x86_64

[pbunyan@pbunyan ~]$ yum list installed conserver-client
Installed Packages
conserver-client.x86_64     8.2.2-4.el8     @epel-testing

And running $console $FQDN is working as expected :)
