Description Jonas Ådahl 2019-11-10 10:42:39 UTC
This bug was initially created as a copy of Bug #1767703

Description of problem:
Intel NUC8i7BEH, connected via DisplayPort (Thunderbolt port) to Dell UP2516D monitor, in turn connected via DisplayPort to another Dell UP2516D monitor.

The primary monitor utilizes a KVM feature; USB cable connects from machine to monitor and mouse, keyboard and audio are directly connected to the monitor. Another PC is also connected to the monitor via USB.

Steps to reproduce:
1. With above configuration and Gnome Shell open, use monitor controls to change display/KVM input to another PC

This behavior is reproduceable and can be worked around by first locking the PC before changing display input.

I have updated to the latest BIOS firmware available from Intel, this did not resolve the behavior.

Version-Release number of selected component:
gnome-shell-3.34.1-2.fc31
