Description of problem:

In the upper right corner when I click the power icon to reboot or log off the wifi icon appears and disappears cyclically. This makes it difficult to log off or lock the screen because the menu items underneath it are constantly moving.

Additional info:

This machine has Ethernet and Wifi hardware but I'm only using Ethernet for connectivity.
