Description of problem:

python-whitenoise is missing in EPEL8, but exists in EL7. It'd be greatly appreciated if you could please branch and build python-whitenoise for EPEL8. I only need Python 3 variants, please.

A test rebuild of the Rawhide package on EPEL 8 works with a small change that I've submitted as a PR: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-whitenoise/pull-request/4

If you do not want to maintain it for EPEL 8, I'm happy to co-maintain the package for that.

Additional information:

This is needed for building Pagure in EPEL8 in the near future.

It will also be needed for supporting Noggin and other Fedora Infra apps in the future.

Sorry, don't plan to create any epel8 packages. Happy to give you commit/admin rights on the package so you can build it yourself.
