Comment 7 Dimitris 2020-10-01 03:47:28 UTC
I've installed https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-49c2c60857, and with a brand new profile, the steps from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1648024#c45 no longer reproduce the problem, about:plugins consistently shows the system-isntalled version.

However, in my actual/existing profile, the old plugin is still listed in about:plugins, even if I can't find those files in the profile:

Is this manifest cached/duplicated somewhere? Any ideas how to clean up my profile?

Comment 8 Martin Stransky 2020-10-01 06:44:09 UTC
Yes, the plugin info is pretty durable :) I haven't found a way how to force update it.

Comment 9 Martin Stransky 2020-10-01 06:45:44 UTC
You can use media.gmp-gmpopenh264.visible preference in about:config to hide the plugin.
