Description Jakob Hirsch 2020-11-02 10:47:36 UTC
Description of problem:

Since the upgrade to F33 I get error messages in the daily logwatch email:

---cut---
Can't locate diagnostics.pm in @INC (you may need to install the diagnostics module) (@INC contains: /usr/share/logwatch/lib /usr/local/lib64/perl5/5.32 /usr/local/share/perl5/5.32 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5 /usr/share/perl5) at /usr/share/logwatch/scripts/services/sendmail line 26.
 BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/logwatch/scripts/services/sendmail line 26.
---cut---

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

logwatch-7.5.4-1.fc33.noarch

How reproducible:

always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install logwatch
2. run it (or wait one day)

Actual results:

error message as given above

Expected results:

no error message

Additional info:

services/sendmail and /http-error but wants to use the diagnostics package (for whatever reason) and bail if it cannot be found. The "diagnostics" perl module is in the perl-diagnostics package, but the logwatch package has no corresponding "Requires".

Comment 1 Frank Crawford 2020-11-02 11:46:49 UTC
Perviously the diagnostic package appears to have been in perl-interpreter, but has now been moved to a separate package.

I am tracking a separate issue with F33 and once sorted will update logwatch with this as a "Requires".
