Description Hugo 2021-03-29 19:35:15 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:87.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/87.0
Build Identifier:

it worked perfectly on f33, I did a clean install of f44beta and the only audio option on gnome-control-center and pavucontrol is HSP/HFP which is mono-only and has a very bad sound quality.
I did "sudo dnf swap --allowerasing pipewire-pulseaudio pulseaudio" and now on gnome-control-center I can select A2DP but the sound is still HSP/HFP and on pavucontrol it shows "(A2DP sink) (unavailable)"
Also on on f33 I had several A2DP modes that all worked well

I'm assuming the switch to pipewire is causing my problem but since switching to pulseaudio doesn't make A2DP work it could be something else

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.connect bluetooth headset
2.play music
3.your ears suffer
4.go to settings audio
5.select High Fidelity Playback
Actual Results:
my ears still suffer

Expected Results:
good sound quality

Comment 1 Hugo 2021-03-29 19:44:58 UTC
I switched back to pipewire with "sudo dnf install --allowerasing pipewire-pulseaudio" and now it works perfectly, I had rebooted 3 times on pipewire and 2 times on pulseaudio so I think switing to pulseaudio and back to pipewire is what solved my issue
